Aim:
Culture Factory aims to develop a creative space where young people will be introduced to the arts in a fun and creative way, while actively promoting the ownership of Culture Factory by young people.
Objectives:
- Culture Factory will acquire a building in the town of Newbridge.
- Culture Factory will develop the building to a point where young people can create programmes in a safe environment.
- The young people will create programmes which will enable them to learn and develop new skills, using creative arts and multi-media projects.
- The young people, workers and volunteers of Culture Factory will work together to challenge the injustices that exist for them using the critical social educational model of best practice.
- Culture Factory will challenge the injustices that exist for young people, using the critical social education model of youth work practise.
- Culture Factory will include young people at all levels of decision making which, in turn will promote ownership of the facility and all that happens in it.
- Culture Factory will develop and remain a fun and welcoming place for young people to grow and develop.
- Culture Factory will work with all young people regardless of their socio-economic background, race, religion, ethnicity or gender.
