Culture Factory is delighted to announce the launch of its first cd “Stranded in Paradise”. This celebration is the culmination of a year’s hard work by Culture Factory from when we decided to create our first cd to now when we have “Stranded in Paradise in our hands.
The launch is on the Saturday20th August in

Culture Factorys first CD Stranded in Paradise launches this summer. We first came up with the idea in May of 2010 and very shortly, it will be in your hands. A launch gig will take place in Sarsfields on the 20th August. The compilation features songs from artists such as Christy Moore, Luka Bloom, Band on an Island, We Are Losers, Substance, Sedna and many more. (See full details)
We included as many artists from Newbridge as we could, some who have been working away for a good many years and some who are starting out on their musical life.
Culture Factory was truly overwhelmed by the goodwill of everyone who came forward to work on this unique project, who gave freely of their music, songs and most importantly their valuable time. In these hard times, Newbridge needs young people more than ever. Culture Factory believes that developing creativity will allow us to reach our full potential and build a better future for all of us.
Culture Factory will be a much needed facility for live music, rehearsals, dance, film, playing pool, artistic teaching zones and an internet cafe for the young people of Newbridge. This facility will be a place of business and a sustainable enterprise.
Culture Factory is a creative project by young people. Central to this is the provision of a dedicated building in Newbridge where young people will socialise and express their imaginative talents. There are many parents and young people, over six thousand, without work in Newbridge. Our challenge is to offer them something to do that is of benefit to us and to them. We believe the skills are available and we believe that the goodwill exists for us to reach our dream.
